TENDER NOTICE

SUPPLY OF LABORATORY EQUIPMENT FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF WATER TESTING AND SURVEILLANCE LABORATORY AT LIAQUAT UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL & HEALTH SCIENCES, JAMSHORO.

Tenders are invited under sealed cover on B-I / B-II forms from the manufacturers / authorized dealers, directly or though their authorized agents / distributors in Pakistan, for the supply, delivery, installation, putting into operation and demonstration of the working of equipments for the laboratory "Establishment of Water Testing & Surveillance Laboratory" at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro on production of call deposit from nay scheduled bank on 03.06.2008 and afterwards till 26.06.2008 (upto 10.00 a.m.) on payment of tender fee Rs. 1000/- (through DD or Pay Order) (non-refundable) in the name of CV, LUMHS Jamshoro.

The purchase will be financed out of the funds received from Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan, for the above approved scheme of the University.

Tender documents including instructions to the tenderers, terms and conditions, and schedule of requirements can be obtained from the office of the Chairman, Central Purchase Committee and Director Academics, LUMHS, Jamshoro, situated at Old Academic Block, Jamshoro Campus, on any working day during office hours from 03rd June, 2008 to 26th June, 2008. Tenders will be received back on 26.06.2008 upto 12.00 noon and will be opened on the same day at 01.00 p.m. in the office of the Chairman, Central Purchase Committee and Director Academics, LUMHS, Jamshoro, in front of authorized representatives of the bidding firms.

The payment shall be made only after realization of funds in relevant account.

Conditional tenders will not be considered. Overwriting and use of correction fluid may cause disqualification for participation.

The tenderer must enclose the documents, demanded in clause IT-9 (15a) of Tender Book.

Tender in sealed envelope, duly completed in duplicate (one for technical details and other for financial details), and addressed to the Chairman, Central Purchase Committee and Director, Academics, LUMHS, Jamshoro, must reach him or be dropped in the Tender Box placed in his office by 12.00 noon on 26.06.2008. Tenders will be opened on the same day at 01.00 p.m. in the presence of tenderers. Presence of a well authorized representative, capable to negotiate the price and who can brief the main features / characteristics of the equipment before the Tender Review Committee, is necessary.

The undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all bids without assigning any reason whatsoever.
