EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES

A project titled as "Extension of Educational & Allied Facilities at QUEST-Nawabshah" has been approved by CDWP (Planning Commission), Govt. of Pakistan through Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad. The project includes Civil works amounting to Rs. 171.958 million.

The details of the works are as under:-

1. Preparation of Master Plan for 25 years future vision - Review and updating of existing facilities
2. Construction of Boys Hostel
3. Construction of Girls Hostel
4. Extension of Laboratories (Civil & Mechanical Engineering Departments)
5. Extension of Mosque at A Sector
6. Construction of brick masonry boundary wall (Back side) - 16,000 Rft
7. Construction of steel fencing grill (Front side) - 8,298 Rft
8. Construction of 3 Main Entrance / Exit Gates
9. Road network - 1.805 km
10. Construction of sewerage treatment plant
11. Construction of storm water drain - 2,740 Rft
12. Landscaping - 13,333 Sft.

In this connection applications are invited from the reputed consulting firms who have vast experience in providing the consultancy services for above-mentioned works.

The scope of consultancy services will include:

1. Architectural designs including plans, elevations, sections and other details.
2. Structural design including the plans and structural details of the various components of the works mentioned above.
3. Water supply, sewerage, drainage and sanitary designs including internal water supply lines and sanitary fixtures
4. Internal electrical detailed drawings including electrical installations, size of the cables, phase distribution & line diagrams.
5. internal telephones, networking connections and intercommunication system designs.
6. Air-conditioning duct route and duct opening in walls, beams, etc.
7. Any other (if necessary).

The firms interested may apply for consultancy services and submit their proposals upto 20th June, 2008 along with the following information on self explanatory format:

• Name and addresses of company / firm along with introduction profile about the services being offered by the company.
• Registration certificate of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as a consulting firm.
• The financial profile of the company with reputable national / international banks of the country.
• Details of the works consultancy services being offered since last 5 years (preferably in educational institutions) showing scope of the services rendered in various civil works.
• List of qualified engineering staff possessing registration with PEC employed with the company / firm.
• Income tax /tax return certificate of previous year.
• Copies of certificates about satisfactory completion of consultancy services from relevant clients during last 5 years particularly in universities and other educational institutes.
• Any other information relevant to this project.

The undersigned / the committee (if constituted by the competent authority for the purpose) reserves the right to accept or reject any one or all the proposals for pre-qualification of consultants without assigning any reason thereof.
