Planning and integrity are just two of the key competencies that you will bring to the table in order to provide and coordinate effective safety Engineering advice and support, thereby ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company -wide HSEC requirements. A results-driven problem solver, with Operations or Design experience in a similar role, you will be accountable for the coordination and compliance of Safety Case and Risk Assessment activities, ensuring critical controls are fully represented in the site maintenance systems.

Achieving success will require you to coordinate reviews, including Engineering Change Request reviews and the annual Major Hazards review, as well as develop and implement Safety procedures and programs.

Reporting to the HSE (Health Safety & Environment) Manager , you will function as our Safety Engineering focal point, managing and coordinating the Operations Safety Case. Specifically, this will include addressing performances standards, maintaining Hazard Assessment, Acting s the System Champion for Safety Critical Elements (SCE), conducting Formal Safety Assessment, verifying critical function testing for SCE, and ensuring and demonstrating that Risk levels are "as low as reasonably practicable."

With an eye on identifying industry best practice you will be responsible for delivering process safety training and heightening the awareness of all staff, particularly operations staff.

Relevant Engineering Degree; 10 years operations or design experience in similar role; technical expertise in safety engineering (e.g. process safety, risk assessment, HAZOP etc.)
