INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONSULTANTS

Contract Package No. Keenjhar - 3, Phase-III

"Design of Spillway & Aliied Works

1. The irrigation & Power Department Government of Sindh, has been entrusted for Construction, of spillway and Allied works Contact Package No. Keenjhar-3, Phase-III.

2. The Superintendent Engineer, Baghar Circle, Irrigation & Power Department, Government of Sindh, Office Left Bank Barrage Colony, Hyderabad, intends to pre-quality the Consultants for checking and vetting the designs and drawings of spillway and allied works of Contract Package No. Keenjhar-3 Phase-III, prepared by the Consultants for Assuring Water supply to Karachi Upgrading Keenjhar Lake System.
   Design and Drawings of the following works will be checked and vetted under this contract.
   (i) Spillway "Board Base-cum-Ogee Type", 400 ft length along Keenjhar Lake Bund and its Allied Works.
   (ii) Box Culvert for National Highway Crossing.
   (iii) Super Passage-cum-Diversion Structure ( as mentioned in drawings)  for crossing the Link Canal and RBOD-II.

3. The request must clearly state ; Request for pre-qualification documents for
   "CONTRACT PACKAGE NO. KEENJHAR-3, PHASE-III.
   The design & documents are available for a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,000/- from 25 August, 2008 onward during office hours.

4. Applications for pre-qualification consisting of "Technical as well as Financial Proposal" must be delivered in sealed envelope by hand to:
   The Superintendent Engineer, Baghar Circle, Irrigation & Power Department, Government of Sindh, Office Left Bank Barrage Colony Hyderabad.

5. The Superintendent Engineer, Baghar Circle, Irrigation & Power Department, Government of Sindh, Office Left Bank Barrage Colony, Hyderabad reserves the right to accept or reject applications.

6. Applications will be informed, in due course, of the result of the evaluation of applications. Only the firms of constructors and joint ventures, pre-qualified under this process, will be invited to bid.
